Term 4 Week 1: Reading

Hello everyone. Today I will be focusing on Reading.

I think that reading is very important. Everyone must read books in order to improve our english, english composition and many other more. We can also read mother tongue books in order to improve on our chinese, malay, tamil and improve on our chinese, malay, tamil composition. Reading books are fun to read if you like to read the book alot and you find it very interesting.

The books are usually read are: Enid Blyton's books, Library books, The Diamond Girls and many many other more at home including all mother tongue books.

In a month, I will read about 2-5 books(Thick books) and 0-1 magazine. I do not usually read magazines.

I love to read books if the story of the book is very interesting and fun to read. I think reading can also help me improve my english and mother tongue (Chinese).

I also think that playing computer games can affect some students reading as people spent more time on computer games than on reading books. Some students also think that reading books are boring and will find that playing computer games are more fun. Some students can also read books online.

The school can encourage students to read more books by putting a few more books in the library and make the library a more comfortable place to read. The school can also tell the students that reading will be very fun and interesting if they like to read and is interested in reading. They can also tell the students that reading is very good for the studies.The school can also include some computers in the library and tell the students to read books online. To forbid the students to play computer games and not reading books online, they can block the websites of computer games.

If i can recommend a book that everyone could read, I would recommend them this book: The Village By The Sea by Anita Desai. This book is a true story. Though this storybook is 260 pages, it is very interesting. This story is a very sad story.

Holiday Homework 4 (T3Wk10): Computer Games

hello.
Today, i will talk about playing computer games.

Sometimes, I play computer games. I play it because I think playing computer games is very interesting and fun. Sometimes, you can also learn something by playing computer games!

I play computer games like downloaded games(Sally's Salon, Sally's Spa, Jojo's Fashion Show 2, Cake Mania2), online games and CD games(The Sims 2, Diner Dash, Cake Mania 2).

Sometimes I would get attracted to computer games because I think that most of the times i will play the same game and maybe i will soon get attracted to it.

I think many students play computer games because most of the students have computers at home ans they also think that computer games are fun to play and computer games can also relieve stress.

I don't really know how many hours I play in a week but sometimes I only play on weekends and on weekdays, I will do my computer work.

I also think playing computer games may and may not affect a student's studies because if the student is very hardworking, loves to study and also enjoys playing computer games, it may not affect the student's studies. But if the student always laze around and hates to study, and also loves to play computer games, I think for him/her, playing computer games will affect his/her studies.

I am aware that people can be addicted to computer games, even adults. I think I will advise them to control their time table for playing computer games and they can also only play on weekends. This will help to reduce them from playing computer games and get addicted to them.

This is all I have to say about playing computer games. I hope the last paragraph of my advice would help!

Holiday Homework 3(T3Wk 9): The Olympics Games

hello everyone ^^
Today i will be discussing about the Olympic Games.

The Olympic Games is an international multi-sport event established for both summer and winter sporting events. There have been two generations of the Olympic Games; the first were the Ancient Olympic Games held at Olympia, Greece The second generation, known as the Modern Olympic Games were first held in 1896, in Athens, Greece. The origin of 'Olympics' is from Greece. Greece actually started the Olympic Games.

I think the Olympics is a very important event because the Olympic Games is only held every four years and it is also a good chance to compete against the best atheletes from around the world.

I had also watched some Olympic events. I watched it because i want to see how the atheletes compete each other in the competition.

The swimming-Synchronized Diving impresses me the most because most of the swimmers can jump together at the same time and their jumping are very equal especially the China one.

I would not like to participate in the Olympic Games.

I think it is worth organising the Olympics because all atheletes from different countries can get together and improve their relationships.

This is all i have to say about The Olympic Games.

Holiday Homework 2 (T3Wk8): National Day

hello everyone. Today i will talk about National Day.

National Day is like a country's birthday. Singapore's birthday is held on the 9th of August every year. Today, Singapore is 43 years old. Singapore's birthday is just held last month(August).

We celebrate National Day because on that day, Singapore gained independence on 9th of August 1965.

I celebrated National Day by watching the NDP live telecast on television and i can also watch abit of the fireworks in my sister's bedroom. I can also hear the sound of the fireworks.

I think our school's National Day is very meaningful. Although it rained on that day and we all had to squeezed in the hall, the head prefects could still take our Singapore's flag and hung it at the front of the stage. We also sang the National anthem.

We can set up games about National Day and show how Singapore gained independence. The students can also learn more about National Day. There would be no lesson on that day and we could have a one-hour recess so that we could join in the fun in all kinds of activities.

This is what i want to tell you about Singapore.

Holiday Homework 1 (T3Wk7): Copyright

The Copyright symbol

Hello Everyone. Today I will discuss What Is Copyright About.

Copyright is the legal right granted to an author that had created his/her own artistic or creative work. Copyright is also something that is created by an author that everyone could not copy from the author who made it.

Some examples of resources that have copyright are blogskins, images and pictures and designer goods (eg. Gucci, Chanel, Louis Vuitton).

I think it is wrong to infringe on the copyright of others because if someone made something and you copied it without asking any permission and claiming it that it is yours, it is against the law and the person whom created it would be extremely angry.

I think that when we want to copy or use something from others, we must ask permission from the person who created it and also credit him/her.

If you use the materials of others without their permission, you will get sued for copyright infringement.

I did not see anyone infringing on the copyright of others.

I can check if i had credited the creater's name or website on my website if i used the creater's image or other things.
